I'm not much of a photographer, but I can tell the difference between badly shot photos and ones that were done with better equipment. Instamatics are basically gone, now. You have disposables, digitals and SLRs.
Being a beginner in the field of photography the Nikon N50 has been a great camera for me. Not having extended experience with cameras in general I have found that the Nikon is easy to use and takes wonderful pictures.

I've had my Nikon N50 camera for several years. Overall, I've been very pleased with my photo results. It's important to me to shoot close up shots capturing those tiny details. With the Nikon N50, I'm able to achieve the most beautiful shots you can imagine. This camera also gives me the capability to capture landscape, portrait, night scenes and action shots. Also,recently I bacame a grandmother for the first time, and I look forward to those close up detail shots of our little one which I could not aquire with my digital camera.
I have experienced a slight problem with the camera body.
The right side of the camera front has a rubber type coating and unfortunately, the coating on my camera rubbed off, although it did not interphere with the performance of the camera. I was a little disappointed this happened, since it does help to keep a firm grip on the camera.
