Epinions Site Update


Eroyalties System: August 8, 2008: July Member Income Share and Advisor Income Share Bonus have both been deposited into your Earnings Summary balance.

MPR/MPA has also been updated.

If you earned a 10 for 10 bonus for July, those credits should be in your account.

2. How do I view my account information?
  To view your account information, click the view your account link at the top of any page. You must be signed in to Epinions.com to view your account information.

3. Can I change my Epinions member ID?
  No. Your member ID is the only attribute of your Epinions account to which all of your other information is connected. Changing IDs would cause you to lose all of the reviews, ratings, trust, and Eroyalties credits you have accumulated, and for this reason, cannot be done. If you have just registered and have not submitted any reviews, you may contact Epinions Community Care and request that they delete your account, after which you may create a new account. Note: Establishing a second account under any other circumstances is a violation of the Epinions User Agreement.

4. How do I change my email address?
  To change the email address where Epinions will send your email alerts or other account information, click the Update Member Info link on your Account Summary page. To change the email address displayed to other users on your Public Profile page, click the Edit Public Profile link on your Account Summary Page. You can visit your Account Summary page by clicking the view your account link at the top of any page. You must be signed in to Epinions.com to change your account information.

5. How do I stop receiving email from Epinions?
  To change your preferences for receiving email from Epinions (Email Alerts, Newsletters, etc.), click the Email Alerts link on your Account Summary page. To stop receiving general updates about the site, uncheck the box next to "I would like to receive occasional email about Epinions.com" at the bottom of the page and click the Update button. To stop receiving specific email alerts, check the box next to the name of the alert you wish to discontinue and click Update. You can visit your Account Summary page by clicking the view your account link at the top of any page. You must be signed in to Epinions.com to change your email settings. You are not able to stop receiving certain administrative emails from Epinions except by deleting your account.

6. How do I terminate my Epinions.com account?
  To terminate your Epinions.com account, click here. If you delete your account, you will lose all reviews, ratings, trust, and Eroyalties credits associated with it.

7. How do I edit my Public Profile?
  To edit your Public Profile, click the Edit Public Profile link on your Account Summary page. You can visit your Account Summary page by clicking the view your account link at the top of any page. You must be signed in to Epinions.com to edit your Public Profile.

8. How do I add a photo to my Public Profile?
  If you have your photo on another web site, you can post it on Epinions.com by editing the photo URL field of your Public Profile page. To edit your Public Profile, click the Edit Public Profile link on your Account Summary page. You can visit your Account Summary page by clicking the view your account link at the top of any page. You must be signed in to Epinions.com to edit your Public Profile.

Please be sure that the URL is directed to an image file (.gif or .jpg) on your web page.

12. What are Content Filters?
  Content Filters give you the power to limit which reviews you see on the site based on each review's overall rating or the community's trust in the author.

13. How do I change my Content Filter settings?
  As a new member, your Content Filters are set to hide all reviews that are rated poorly or that were written by members who have been blocked by the community. If you would like to change these settings, click Site Settings on your Account Summary page. On this page, you will be able to adjust your settings to show or hide the following types of content: Very Helpful, Helpful, Somewhat Helpful, Not Helpful and Unrated reviews, as well as Members on your Block List and their content or Members the community blocks and their content. You can visit your Account Summary page by clicking the view your account link at the top of any page. You must be signed in to Epinions.com to change your Content Filter settings.

14. How do I change whether or not to show my member ID when I rate a review?
  When you rate another member's review, you have the option of showing or hiding your member ID based on the rating you give. To change your settings for when to show your ID and when to hide your ID, click Site Settings on your Account Summary page. On this page, you can choose to show or hide your ratings for each of the rating levels: Very Helpful, Helpful, Somewhat Helpful and Not Helpful. You can visit your Account Summary page by clicking the view your account link at the top of any page. You must be signed in to Epinions.com to change your ratings anonymity settings.
