My take on the book.
Highly entertaining. I loved the characters throughout, from the lowest stable boy to the queens. The author described the era wonderfully. She never held back from the filth of that era (combing for lice, absences of bathes and the stinch that surrounding the castles) The author didn't make everything peachy keen and beautiful, she told it all in the eyes of the Boylen sisters, mainly Mary Boylen who had in reality given birth to two children to King Henry 8. I highly appreciate the great details she went into in regards of how childbirth was done during this era.
Even if you, the reader, isn't into historical books, I would give this one a try. It is very entertaining and even if you don't know much about this era, you will find yourself at the computer looking up some of the details throughout the book. (I even looked up old potraits of the Boylen sisters)
