Earlier this year I was in the market for a new camera. My old Olympus wasn’t Y2K compliant and I wanted dates on my pictures, so off I went looking for a camera.
Enter the Olympus IS-20DLX. I fell in love with this camera the first time I put it in my hands. It just felt good and felt like it had so much power. Plus it did so many things; I had a lot to learn about taking pictures with this camera!!!
It comes with a great 110 zoom lens, and you can set the settings to take any type of picture you need to take. You can take portraits, fast action, and subject focus with an unfocused background and oh the wonderful night pictures it takes!!!
The camera is actually very compact for all it is capable of doing. But let me tell you, it can be bulky to carry around with a toddler in tow. I suggest you use the strap and place it over your shoulder. I have found this still gives me easy access, and much easier to carry!!
The flash is excellent. It takes wonderful pictures in all types of light settings. The dual flash system is very powerful!!!!!!!!
It has all the wonderful features of point and shoot cameras. If the film isn’t installed correctly, you can’t take a picture. It’s easy to load film and automatically rewinds when the roll is finished. There is a great lens cover, it automatically flips down when the camera is turned on and it stays put until you flip it back up when you are done.
I average about 2-3 rolls of film a week and my subject is usually a very curious toddler. I tell you, I get great pictures with this camera and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I have a great love affair going on with my camera {{{giggle}}}
