| magpieut's Full Review: Olympus IS-20 DLX QD 35mm Film Camera |
I purchased the IS-20 because of the easy firm grip that conforms to your hand and feels comfortable. The Zoom button was easy to use and manipulate. Autofocus and flash meant I didn't need to recall shutter speeds and distances from subjects. The resulting pictures even when I thought they would not turn out came out sharp and even could pick up large text on printed materials. The camera picked up map details at a fair booth. It froze a tossed caber at Scottish highland games. The camera even offers a setting to blur the background for portrait type shots.
I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a good all round quality camera with a modest price range. I have yet to have any shots not turn out so wasting film isn't a concern. The viewfinder and focus point make photo composition easy. The grip allows for a steady shot
great for those of us that have arthritis. A Great product.
The camera also allows for remote shutter work so you can include yourself in the photo. The only limitation to what the camera can do is the limit of what you want to try and I wouldn't try submerging the camera (even though it will take beautiful shots in wet weather).
