saxapeal's Full Review: Mamiya RZ67 ProII Medium Format Film Camera
As a working pro, I own two of these. They should be considered studio cameras only, because of their size, weight and configuration. They are most at home on a camera stand or tripod, and are awkward when hand held. I particularly like their close focusing ability, fast handling and many accessories. The optional backs allow for shooting in several different formats.
I own several other Mamiya cameras that are nearly "bulletproof." Unfortunately, I have found the RZ's to be unreliable. I shoot 8-10 rolls of film per day, year round. Breakdowns are NOT infrequent. When they occur, parts are often hard to find. Pros simply cannot afford to be without their cameras.
