| PickyMom's Full Review: Minolta Maxxum Qtsi Body Only 35mm Film Camera |
I have had quite a bit of photography experience, but who can remember all that f-stop and aperture stuff? Well, you don't need to with this camera.
What impresses me most about it is the different automatic settings, like portrait, landscape, action, etc. that help you take a better picture by choosing the appropriate settings for you. All you HAVE to do is aim and shoot, unless you'd like to do more. In a nutshell, this camera is very flexible.
Automatic or manual focus, several flash settings, the option of changing your lenses when desired, and the automatic settings I mentioned above make the QTsi fun and easy. You will feel like a pro photographer in a "flash" (ha ha).
I highly recommend reading the instruction manual for optimal use of all of the features. If you don't you may miss out on the opportunity to really improve your pictures.
I have had one problem with my camera: when I first turn it on the digital display doesn't come on. I have to turn it off and back on again to get it to work. Annoying, but certainly not a huge problem. The camera still works perfectly well otherwise.
Finally, I got a great deal on my QTsi, which was new in the box, on Ebay. I would recommend shopping there for the camera you want and for a reputable dealer/seller. I ended up saving more than $100 even after shipping. The only thing I might do differently is spend a little more money for one of the higher models (STsi or HTsi) to get the ability to take panoramic photos and for the date/time stamping.
