Thank you Howard!
I have received several emails from folks who liked my reviews and in one case, from a young woman photo student. As a way of getting answers to her questions, I suggested she read your reviews of the N80, F100 and F5. She just purchased an N80 and had some questions. She also seemed to doubt the efficacy of using Nikon's 28-105, f3.5-4.5 indoors at weddings (where flash is not permitted in churches).
I suggested she use a 50mm f1.8 or 1.4 and I also recommended she investigate the Nikon 85mm f1.8. In addition, I suggested she go back and re-read your review on the Sigma 28-70 that you and wrote about (and like so much).
She wrote back that she did, but she seemed to get the impression that you only thought it was a "good general purpose lens" and she wanted spectacular. I didn't know what to say to that other than to recommend a fixed aperture, fast prime lens for indoor wedding shoots.
She then responded that she planned to go back and read ALL of your reviews. So, I think you'll be gaining another fan. I also recommended she read Paulphoto and Dave (Sweeper) Burchard's reviews. I do that because the three of you write reviews that are so all encompassing that buying decisions should be effortless for the reader after having perused what you guys write.
BTW, I was recalled to active duty on 1 July and may be retained for a year.
Cheers,
Paul

tool. It's always a treat to see a new electronics review from you, nobody does it better.
