mom2ericha's Full Review: Nikon F100 Body Only 35mm Film Camera
This camera is predominantly for the professional. The pricetag is high, but the camera is of superb quality. The up and rising novice may want to think about investing in this camera. It is well worth the money spent.
The Nikon F100 has autofocus feature, which is good for someone who is less knowledgeable about photography. The Nikon F100 features Nikon's 3D Matrix Meter, Spot and Center-Weighted Metering, and Nikon's Automatic Balanced Fill-Flash System. This all adds up to make perfect exposures and pictures. The camera is lightweight and rugged. This camera is the camera of choice among professionals. The high price tag may scare someone who is not familiar with cameras. Nikon is THE camera; they have been around for a LONG time, and you just can't go wrong with Nikon.
Well, due to the comment of one of my readers, I've decided to add a few things. I don't have another Nikon to compare this camera to, so I feel I'm not qualified to compare it to other Nikons. I CAN compare it to Minolta, as I HAVE had several of them in past. My personal feelings are Nikon is far better, takes better pictures, holds up better and lasts longer. This camera is much lighter than other cameras I've had in the past. I much prefer a lighter weight camera to a heavier one, as I do a lot of nature photography and outdoor shots. I don't often use a tripod. I have done freelance photography for quite a few years now.
