| woodync1's Full Review: Nikon N50 Film Camera |
My wife bought me this SLR in 1994 for Christmas. I love to take pictures and wanted a good camera that would hold up and we had always believed Nikon represents high quality in camera action and lenses.
This camera has a metal (correction:polycarbonate body) body which makes it virtually unbreakable. I have taken literally thousands of pictures with my camera and have not had one problem. I've taken all kinds of pictures, some of which include Nascar racing. It has a shutter speed fast enough to freeze frame a 200 mph car.
My Nikon N50 has both simple and advanced features. The camera has individual adjustments for apperture sizes and shutter speeds. It's the easiest 'point and shoot' camera I have ever operated, resulting in top quality pictures. It is excellent for family portraits.
There are a variety of lenses from Fish Eye to Mega Zoom. The fish eye gives a panoramic view and the zoom lense brings things close enough to touch. All lenses attach bayonet style with an optional hot shoe for flash attachments.
I highly recommend this camera for both beginner and advanced photographers.
