Being a beginner in the field of photography the Nikon N50 has been a great camera for me. Not having extended experience with cameras in general I have found that the Nikon is easy to use and takes wonderful pictures.
I have used the Nikon on closes ups for everything from fish to flowers and even to the sun and each time the picture has come out great. The camera captures colors beautifully. I have never developed a picture that was blurry or out of focus.
The lens (35-80mm) that comes with the camera has decent zoom ability.
