Re: Great review (Reply to this comment)

Hi,
your N6006 certainly is worth using it. It is a great camera although there are better cameras available today. As you know, there is no depth of field- preview and the autofocus is very slow. But this camera can take wonderful pictures for you, and this is the most important thing.
The picture you mentioned, the one taken by Paul Blanca, is unknown to me. It would be nice to see it. I hope you can find it!
Best regards,
Petri.

Great review (Reply to this comment)
by pvr8
Hi,
I have been using the 6006 for about three years. I like it but I want to trade it for a 8008s. I don't use it as much now because I have a digital that I really enjoy using (Kodak DC290). Reading your review has made me want to pull out the 6006 again and shoot a few rolls, so I think I will this week. BTW, I'm looking for a photo (poster) by Paul Blanca, the photographer from Amsterdam. The poster was a photograph of a young man holding a baby. It was a profile shot in black and white. If you have any information about where I might find this poster or photo, please let me know. I've been looking everywhere. The poster is out of print in the USA. Thank you.

Welcome to the epinions community (Reply to this comment)

Always glad to welcome a fellow photographer aboard. I never tried the N6006 but I had a N8008S for many years (and an F4S, FE, and several other Nikons) I also had for a long time a Sigma 90/2,8 Macro. I took a lot of good "Street" shots, portraits, and macro pictures
with that lens....it was a super performer. I hope to see more photo/optics reviews from you. If I can be of any assistance, feel free to email me (just click on my name)
