Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, many different pre-programmed modes Cons: built-in flash is useless
I'm not much of a photographer, but I can tell the difference between badly shot photos and ones that were done with better equipment. Instamatics are basically gone, now. You have disposables, digitals and SLRs.
Pros: takes all Nikon AF lenses, accurate metering, better built than successors Cons: pushbutton interface, no cable release
I've had this camera about 3 years, and have taken quite a few nice shots with it. I agree with the other reviewers that the meter is very accurate. It produces very well saturated slides. It deals with complex lighting situations reasonably well, and...
Pros: Good metering, reasonable AF, well built Cons: Horrible interface, limited functionality
I bought a Nikon N50 about 3 years ago, and have used it quite a lot since then. I like the build and feel of the camera in my hands, the autofocus is fairly fast and is accurate, and the metering is excellent. There are very few occasions when the...
Pros: easy to operate, lense options Cons: shutter repeater time is slow
My wife bought me this SLR in 1994 for Christmas. I love to take pictures and wanted a good camera that would hold up and we had always believed Nikon represents high quality in camera action and lenses.
Being a beginner in the field of photography the Nikon N50 has been a great camera for me. Not having extended experience with cameras in general I have found that the Nikon is easy to use and takes wonderful pictures.
The Nikon N50 was given to me as an anniversary present a few years ago. As I had been using all manual focus camers up until this point, this was a change for me.
The features of this camera area all easy to use, even for the beginning...
Pros: Great Build Quality, Good Features, Overall Great Performer Cons: NONE
The Nikon N50 is an absolutely amazing camera! It has great features at an affordable price. The N50 is built of the highest quality and lives up to the Nikon name. It's digital touch screen allows you to switch from a manual camera to a fully...
Pros: Great quality pictures Cons: No automatic power shutoff. Forget to turn off, you lose a $10.00 battery.
I've had my Nikon N50 camera for several years. Overall, I've been very pleased with my photo results. It's important to me to shoot close up shots capturing those tiny details. With the Nikon N50, I'm able to achieve the most beautiful shots you can imagine. This camera also gives me the capability to capture landscape, portrait, night scenes and action shots. Also, recently I bacame a grandmother for the first time, and I look forward to those close up detail shots of our little one which I could not aquire with my digital camera.
I have experienced a slight problem with the camera body.
The right side of the camera front has a rubber type coating and unfortunately, the coating on my camera rubbed off, although it did not interphere with the performance of the camera. I was a little disappointed this happened, since it does help to keep a firm grip on the camera.
Over, I recommend this camera for all your photo needs. I keep it loaded with a fresh battery at all times. It's 80 good, 20 not so good.
