Elizabeth Jacobi is a lawyer and freelance writer living in San Francisco, California. Her favorite travel is made with as few set plans and luggage as possible; her least favorite is an attraction made especially for tourists.
Prior to making her favorite travel destination her home, she lived in historic Alexandria, Charlottesville and Williamsburg, Virginia, all inhabited by that curious mix of locals, transients, travelers and tourists.
Recently her travel has been largely dictated by weddings happily situated in New Orleans, Louisiana; Key West, Florida; Calistoga, California; Westchester, New York; and Alby, France. That's left long weekends for whale-watching in the San Juan Islands, ringing in the New Year in Manhattan, attending the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, catching a day game at Wrigley Field, and the continued delights of exploring the Bay Area.
